Stewart Guitars & Fine Woodworking is a small business specializing in the construction of custom-built acoustic & electric instruments, while also providing repair and restoration services for any, and all stringed instrument types and brands. “Jon fixed or set-up all three of my guitars; two Martins (an HD-28V and a 1949 OO-17) and a Taylor T5. They’ve never played or sounded better. The HD-28V needed some serious work repairing a crack that was the result of dry conditions, and was also able to “re-humidify” the guitar. I cannot recommend his work highly enough.”

Jon was wonderful to work with and did a great job on my guitar. My acoustic guitar was a gift from my father when I was 16 years old and has a lot of sentimental value. Jon treated it with great care and made adjustments that weren't just "band-aids", but long term improvements. Not only is he a very knowledgeable luthier, but Jon is also a great musician and sound engineer. This gives him a well-rounded understanding of how to make guitars sound their best, while also giving me some helpful tips on keeping them in good shape while touring and gigging. Jon is also a fantastic craftsman, and the guitars he builds are unique in appearance, and sound. I would definitely recommend Jon for any of your luthier needs!
